Horseback riding
Ranch Mackadam is home to four Criollo Definitivo horses, accompanied by a family of sheep, cats and dogs.
The Criollo breed Definitively like the mustangs of South America.
There they are known as reliable workhorses, but also as a status symbol.
The Story of Our Horses
Our first horse, Mack, was captured in the wild pastures of Uruguay in 2000 and brought by boat to Tuscany, Italy, and from there to Slovenia.
He was later joined by Zorro, Messi, Montevideo and Bobo the pony.
Riding the Natural Trails
At our ranch we have a riding area or manege, which is intended for training horses, for beginners and younger riders. Alongside it, we also offer off-road riding and riding trips – there are attractive trails for riding in the natural environment in practically all directions (Udin Boršt, Bistriška planina, Senično, Golnik, Naklo, mountain huts on the slopes of Košuta) and many shorter natural trails in our surroundings.
